Colin McConnell
Colin is a fourth generation British – African. Growing up in the Kenyan highlands, he spent many family vacations on authentic canvas safaris. After high school, and a stint in the UK as a re-insurance broker, he returned to East Africa. He and his wife Karen managed Gibb's Farm in the early nineties and Colin also guided safaris for Gibb's Farm Safaris, predecessor to Amazing Tanzania. After leaving Gibb’s, he managed and guided at Kusini Camp in the southern Serengeti. Colin is a keen ornithologist and wildlife photographer, with an extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna of sub-Saharan Africa. He enjoys an active lifestyle and has climbed Kilimanjaro and has organised and led many walking safaris. We can’t recommend Colin highly enough to anyone who is looking for a guided safari experience second to none.
