Given
our years of experience, in our view Land Rovers are by far the best four-wheel drive vehicles around. Their
ability to tolerate the rough African conditions is renowned; ultimately making them the best choice for
safaris.
Amazing Tanzania has both 110 and 130 model Land Rovers in our fleet. They hold a capacity of four and six passengers respectively.
These vehicles have been specially adapted for safari. The seats have been moved back to give
more legroom and 3 large hatches have been fitted in the roof for optimum game viewing; one over the driver’s
and front passenger’s seats; one over the back seat and one in the rear.
Since quite a bit of time is spent in the Land Rover, other adaptations have been made to ensure travelling comfort such as canvas seat covers and cushions and pockets for water bottles, cameras and books. There is a fridge in each vehicle for essential cold drinks. Each Land Rover carries a comprehensive first aid kit and has radio communication with other Amazing Tanzania vehicles and base camps.
